    Global store concept

    Govindia Hemphill worked with the architect & store planning team on the initial concept for the flagship store in Old Bond Street. Consequently when this new direction was rolled out globally, Govindia Hemphill were responsible for designing & producing the textile elements for each store working with the local architectural team. These included tapestries, embroideries, curtains and rugs. 81 stores completed to date.

    Working alongside GC Office, Govindia Hemphill designed sourced and sampled rugs, fabrics, soft furnishings and colour, creating hand knotted carpets, an artisan stair runner, curtains and upholstery. The house spans 3,900 sq ft and six levels.

    Landmark Hotel

    Hotel Café Royal occupies three historic buildings at the southern end of Regent Street, just off Piccadilly Circus. The hotels six floors contain 159 guest rooms, it was renovated from 2009 - 2012. Govindia Hemphill were responsible for initial textile research and development, creating bespoke fabrics and floor coverings for all bedrooms, suites and front of house spaces. Consequently overseeing the design & manufacture of : rugs, carpets, curtains, blinds & hardware, through to installation.

    Public Library, Euston Road, London

    Govindia Hemphill were commissioned by the library to design a series of three engineered carpets for the new members room, staff canteen and conference centre & bar. The design was inspired by the spines of the books in the Kings Library, central to the main building, the angle of the design in direct correlation with the odd orientation of the Kings Library.
    Along side this design process Govindia Hemphill worked with De Matos Ryan designing the interior spaces and specifying furniture.

    This was a two year restoration working closely alongside Maison Artefact & Richstone Properties. Govindia Hemphill worked on all elements of the interior furnishings, fabrics curtains, bespoke poles, blinds, bed throws, blankets, cushions and upholstery. Incredible attention to detail was made, ageing fabrics, dyeing & restoring antique textiles.
